Darkly vivid etchings

Klaus Haapaniemi's stunning Xenia art etchings can now be purchased online. Featuring vivid and dark depictions of fruits, birds, insects, and creatures of the seas in imaginative and surprising still-life compositions.

Xenia print series are drypoint drawings on copper plates, brought to life with multiple aquatint layers, utilising the highest-quality printing techniques mastered at Grafiikkapaja Himmelblau. Haapaniemi’s still-life compositions are extremely detailed, but his virtuoso-like strokes and use of colour make them seem light, floating universes. Limited to an edition of 40, each drawing is signed and numbered.

The Xenia series has been exhibited in London, Berlin, and Finland. The works have been completed between 2015 and 2025.

The prints are sold without a frame, but please contact us if you wish to include a custom oak frame in the order.
