Klaus weinstuben at Lonna Island

Deliciously fun summer shop and wine bar delighted the visitors at Lonna Island for the summer 2022, one of the most special islands in Helsinki archipelago, only short boat ride away from Kauppatori.

Klaus Haapaniemi & Co and island of Lonna collaborated with Friedrich Becker to produce a beautiful riesling.

The Friedrich Becker Family has proudly handcrafted wines on both sides of the German-French border in the southern Pfalz region for seven generations. Finest sustainably farmed and handpicked grapes, grown on limestone soil, treated most gently in the cellar and bottled without fining or filtration lead to truly handcrafted, terroir expressing fine wines.

Visitors were invited to enjoy the Klaus wine on a terrace while watching the boats and birds pass by, shop linen robes for the Lonna's sauna, and send postcards on our behalf to back home, beautiful, official stamps designed by Klaus Haapaniemi included.
